About John Polanyi

John Polanyi is a Canadian chemist and the 1986 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry. He won the prize jointly with Yuan T. Lee and Dudley R. Herschbach “for their contributions concerning the dynamics of chemical elementary processes.” His research focuses on chemical kinetics; studying the development of the infrared chemiluminescence technique. He currently serves as University Professor at the University of Toronto.
