About John Dewey

John Dewey is an influential American psychologist and philosopher. He is recognized for his shared research in the philosophy of pragmatism and functional psychology. He believes that experimentation, whether social, cultural, technological or philosophical, is an approximate arbiter of truth. Dewey was also as relentless a campaigner for educational reform as he was against the traditionally authoritarian methods of instruction of students.
