The Berkeley Distinguished Faculty Lecture in the Social Sciences is an annual event that honors a selected Berkeley faculty member from the social sciences. The chosen scholar is invited to present their research to a diverse audience of colleagues, students, and community members. This lecture series succeeds the Berkeley Moses Memorial Lecture, which was established in 1937 and featured a long line of distinguished speakers from among Berkeley's top social scientists.
